Google Vids is introducing a new feature for easy video and audio editing. This feature uses Gemini to generate a transcript of your recording. The transcript identifies and highlights filler words like "uhm" and pauses. Users can remove these unwanted elements with a simple click within the transcript. This simplifies the editing process, saving time and effort. The tool is designed to help users create more polished and professional videos. The feature is currently only available for English language recordings. Admins can control access to Vids at the organizational level. Users can access the feature by creating a new vid and adding their media. The rollout begins on August 27th for Rapid Release domains and September 16th for Scheduled Release domains. This update is available to various Google Workspace tiers and Gemini users.
