Elon Musk Reveals Shocking Details About Migrant Austin Shooter
Elon Musk revealed that Ndiaga Diagne, the man who killed three people in Austin, was a former Tesla employee. Diagne was fired from the Gigafactory Texas after violently assaulting a female coworker who accidentally stepped on his prayer rug. Months after his termination, Diagne committed the shooting while wearing a "Property of Allah" hoodie. Three individuals were killed and approximately fifteen others were injured in the attack. Diagne entered the US on a tourist visa, later obtaining a green card and becoming a naturalized citizen. He had a prior criminal record, including domestic violence allegations and a hit-and-run. The firearms used in the shooting were legally purchased. A Quran was found in his SUV, and while the FBI determined he acted alone, investigators noted ties to the conflict involving Iran and his admiration for its former leadership. Musk recounted the factory assault, emphasizing that such individuals should not be allowed into the country. A civil lawsuit alleges Tesla withheld Diagne's identity after the assault, hindering charges and potentially preventing the later tragedy. The case highlights a perceived gap between private employers identifying violence indicators and the immigration system. Musk argued that screening individuals with violent responses to perceived slights is basic risk assessment, not bigotry. Legacy media's initial reporting downplayed the motive and the workplace assault, focusing instead on mental health or the Iran conflict. Diagne's history, including the factory incident, was not secret, yet he remained in the country and legally obtained firearms. The author suggests that screening for ideological intolerance is crucial to prevent future violence.
