The "Super Admin password reset" alert in Alert Center is being expanded to a broader "Admin password reset" alert. Previously, it only alerted on super admin password changes. Now, it will trigger for password resets for all administrator roles. This enhances visibility and control over the security of privileged accounts. It allows for quicker response to potential account compromises or unauthorized changes. This update aligns with security best practices for administrative access. The new alert is enabled by default and replaces the old rule. Existing recipient lists for the old rule will transfer to the new one. End users will not experience any impact or have settings to manage. The rollout began on June 22, 2026, and may take up to 15 days for full visibility. This feature is available to all Google Workspace customers.
