ESMA delivers technical advice... Note

ESMA delivers technical advice on market abuse and SME Growth Markets as part of the Listing Act

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published its advice to the European Commission (EC) to support the Listing Act's goals. The advice aims to simplify listing requirements, enhance access to public capital markets for EU companies, and improve market integrity. The advice covers market abuse regulation, identifying key moments for public disclosure, and delayed public disclosure. It also focuses on the review of requirements for multilateral trading facilities and segments for SME growth markets. The technical advice facilitates the effective implementation of the Listing Act by advising the EC on delegated acts to be adopted and amended. The EC will adopt the delegated acts by July 2026. ESMA continues its work to facilitate the effective implementation of the Listing Act. The advice is part of ESMA's efforts to support the Listing Act's goals. The full report on the technical advice concerning MAR and MiFID II SME GM is available. Further information can be obtained from ESMA's press office.
