EuroPython: June Newsletter: Talks Schedule Released
The EuroPython 2026 conference is just one month away in Kraków, with the full talk schedule now available online. The lineup of keynote speakers has been expanded with the addition of William Woodruff, Marlene Mhangami, and Imogen Wright, joining previously announced speakers. Ticket prices are set to increase on June 26th, so attendees are encouraged to purchase them before this date. Remote ticket sales will begin on June 15th for those unable to attend in person. This year marks EuroPython's 25th anniversary, celebrated with special events including contests to win a free ticket. One contest seeks the oldest EuroPython badge, while another rewards participants for sharing their most impactful EuroPython experience via video. A workshop by Django Girls focusing on Python and Django accessibility is scheduled for July 18th. The Women in Python community will host a 5K run on July 16th for networking and friendship building. On-site volunteer applications are being reviewed, with notifications expected between June 13th and 19th. The EuroPython Speaker Orientation Workshop video, offering tips for speakers, is now on YouTube. Financial aid decisions have been sent out, with 84 grant offers made from a €35,000 budget. New content, including interviews from PyCon US, is being regularly posted on the EuroPython YouTube channel. Sponsorship booth slots are nearly full, with remaining opportunities available by contacting [email protected]. Registration remains open for the Rust Summit, which explores the intersection of Rust and Python. The EuroPython Society has also been active at PyCon US and PyCon Italia, sharing their presence and engaging with the community.
