Gemini in Sheets capabilities, allowing natural language spreadsheet creation and editing, are now available in 28 additional languages. Users speaking languages like Spanish, Japanese, French, and German can now collaborate with Gemini in their native tongue. This expansion enables users to build and edit spreadsheets, update budgets, create financial models, and perform data analysis using natural language prompts. Gemini utilizes Sheets tools such as tables, pivot tables, charts, and formulas to execute these tasks effectively. This empowers global teams to manage data efficiently and automate workflows, overcoming language barriers. Admins can enable this feature by default if Gemini for Workspace in Sheets is already active. End users require Workspace smart features to be enabled and will see the Gemini icon in the Sheets side panel. Advanced functionality is accessible through various Google Workspace editions and add-ons. Promotional higher usage limits for Gemini in Sheets will be available until July 15, 2026, after which per-user limits will apply.
