Fill with Gemini in Google Sheets is an AI-powered feature designed to simplify data preparation and manual entry. It utilizes the AI function in Google Sheets to generate text, summarize information, categorize data, and analyze sentiment without needing complex formulas. Initially available in several languages, Fill with Gemini and the AI function are now expanding to include Mandarin, Dutch, Malay, and other languages. Administrators can manage access to Fill with Gemini through the Smart features for Google Workspace setting. End users must have Workspace smart features enabled to utilize this functionality. Users can trigger Fill with Gemini by selecting cells and accessing the prompt menu. The feature will be gradually rolled out to Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains starting July 7, 2026. Availability is limited to specific Google Workspace editions, including Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, and Google AI Pro and Ultra for consumers. Education and AI add-ons also provide access, with higher usage limits for AI Expanded Access licenses starting July 15, 2026.
