Foxconn has selected Mexico as the site for the world's largest manufacturing facility for Nvidia's GB200 superchips. The GB200 chips are a crucial component of Nvidia's next-generation Blackwell family computing platform. Foxconn's senior vice president, Benjamin Ting, announced the plan, stating that the partnership with Nvidia is very important and that demand for the Blackwell platform is extremely high. Nvidia has already started shipping Blackwell samples to partners and customers and expects significant revenue from the chips in the fourth quarter. The Foxconn facility in Mexico will have enormous capacity, although exact details were not disclosed. Foxconn has invested over $500 million in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico, and already has a large manufacturing presence in the country. The company's chairman, Young Liu, expressed confidence in Foxconn's supply chain being ready for the AI revolution. Foxconn's manufacturing capabilities include advanced liquid cooling and heat dissipation technologies necessary for the GB200 server's infrastructure. The partnership between Foxconn and Nvidia is expected to generate significant revenue, with Nvidia anticipating several billion dollars in revenue from the chips in the fourth quarter. The facility in Mexico will be the largest GB200 production facility in the world.
