From Prototype to Production: how we took an AI app from PartyRock to the real world in one night

The AWS User Group Campinas leaders often encounter the problem of clients not knowing how to start using AI, a process usually involving weeks of setup. They presented a faster path, beginning with AWS PartyRock, an accessible tool for rapid AI prototyping. PartyRock allows users to build functional generative AI apps in minutes, without infrastructure, code, or a credit card. It's ideal for validating ideas and demonstrating concepts to stakeholders, though it has limitations for production use. The second part of the presentation demonstrated evolving a PartyRock prototype into a real production application, capable of processing user data and integrating into workflows. This involved architectural decisions and selecting AWS AI services for tasks like transcription and summarization. This "PartyRock to Production" journey helps companies overcome paralysis while avoiding the illusion of simple ChatGPT solutions. Key lessons included the value of live demos, co-presentations, and that the gap between prototype and production is smaller than perceived. To replicate this journey, one should start with a real problem, prototype quickly in PartyRock, validate the concept, and evolve to a serverless production architecture.
