Gemini in Chrome expands to more languages and regions, including Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East
Chrome is rolling out new AI features, powered by Gemini, to users in Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. These features enhance productivity for business, education, and personal users by integrating AI directly into their browsing experience. Gemini in Chrome enables users to quickly get answers and insights by summarizing articles or clarifying complex topics based on their open tabs. It also assists in content generation, allowing users to draft emails, social media posts, and even create images within the browser. For interactive assistance, Gemini Live offers two-way voice conversations for brainstorming and meeting preparation. Administrators can manage this feature at various levels, with it being on by default for most domains. End users can access Gemini in Chrome by clicking the icon, provided they meet the specified criteria. The rollout began on June 10, 2026, and is available across different Google Workspace plans and personal accounts. Users can access Gemini on ChromeOS, MacOS, and Windows devices.
