Gemini in Chrome is coming to Chromebook Plus devices

Gemini in Chrome is now launching for Chromebook Plus devices throughout the United States. This feature introduces AI-powered tools directly into the Chrome browser, aiming to enhance productivity for business and education users. It's also accessible to individuals with personal Google accounts through the Gemini app. Users can leverage Gemini within Chrome to summarize articles, clarify concepts, and find specific information. Gemini also helps generate content such as emails and social media posts, and even create images. Furthermore, users have the ability to engage in voice conversations with Gemini Live. Admins can control Gemini in Chrome settings at various levels, by default the feature is on. End users can access Gemini in Chrome by clicking the Gemini icon in their browser. The rollout began January 28, 2026. This feature is available to US Google Workspace customers, subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts.
