Gemini is enhancing Google Sheets tables with automatic formatting and meaningful naming when data is converted. These tables improve data organization, making sorting and filtering simpler. Table references replace cell coordinates with descriptive names, improving formula readability and ease of writing. These references are dynamic, automatically adjusting to data changes without manual intervention. Admins must enable smart features and personalization for users to access this functionality. End users will have table suggestions enabled by default but can disable them. The feature is currently rolling out to Rapid Release domains and will be available for Scheduled Release domains starting September 12, 2025. Availability extends to specific Google Workspace editions and Gemini add-ons. Previous purchasers of Gemini Business and Enterprise add-ons will also receive the feature.
