Gems in Gemini Learning Tools ... Note

Gems in Gemini Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI™) is now rolling out

Gem integration with Gemini Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI™) is launching, enabling third-party Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Canvas and PowerSchool Schoology Learning to utilize Gems. This integration allows educators to create Gems for frequently asked questions, providing students with quick answers. Students will soon benefit from real-time coaching and in-the-moment assistance through Gems. To get started, administrators must enable the Google Workspace LTI™ service and the Gemini service in the Admin Console, ensuring Gem sharing is active. LMS administrators also need to enable Gemini LTI™ within their respective platforms. The rollout will be gradual, beginning on September 22, 2025, and may take up to 15 days for full visibility. This feature is available for specific Google Workspace education editions and Google AI Pro for Education. Resources are provided for administrators to guide them through the setup process. End users can visit the Help Center for more information on Gemini LTI™. The previous announcement mentioned NotebookLM's addition to Gemini LTI™, and the Gems integration is now rolling out.
