Gmail Live is rolling out to paid Workspace users
Gmail Live is now available on mobile for Google Workspace customers on Android and iOS, leveraging Gemini models for a low-latency voice search experience. This feature allows users to ask natural language questions and receive synthesized answers directly from their Gmail inbox. Each response prominently displays an email source card, indicating where the information was retrieved. Users can also select their preferred voice for the synthesized answers. Common use cases include checking order statuses, training deadlines, and specific email updates. To start, administrators will find the feature enabled by default for organizations with Gemini in Workspace access. End users on supported devices can initiate a voice session by tapping the Live entry point in the Gmail search bar. This rollout is gradual, beginning on October 15, 2026, and will extend across various Google Workspace editions. Currently, Gmail Live is exclusively available to users in the US speaking English.
