Gmail’s AI Inbox is rolling out to paid Workspace users

Gmail's AI Inbox, initially launched to help users prioritize, is now available to paid Google Workspace users. This feature streamlines daily business workflows by highlighting actionable to-do items and summarizing important work updates from emails. AI Inbox automatically extracts action items, deliverables, and deadlines from email conversations, providing clear visibility into critical follow-ups. It also delivers concise, context-rich summaries of key topics and decisions from multi-message threads. Admins do not need to manage this feature, as eligible end users can access it directly. AI Inbox is accessible within the Gmail desktop client and mobile app. It is available to Business and Enterprise editions, along with AI Pro for Education. This feature is currently exclusive to users in the US with EN-US language settings. The rollout began on October 12, 2026, for Rapid Release domains and will start for Scheduled Release domains on October 26, 2026. AI Inbox will be available to Starter and Education editions in the upcoming months.
