The rise of data democratization and generative AI presents both opportunities and significant security risks for organizations. Google Cloud's new Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) offering aims to provide end-to-end governance for data security, privacy, and compliance. DSPM helps discover data, assess risks, protect data through advanced controls, and simplify compliance reporting. Key advanced controls include data access governance, flow governance, data protection, and data deletion. These controls can be applied across Google Cloud environments to enforce security and compliance policies. Google Cloud is inviting organizations to preview DSPM and provide feedback to shape its future development.
