Google Classroom now supports Context-Aware Access controls
Google Classroom now supports Context-Aware Access policies, giving administrators more control. These policies allow for granular security settings managed through the Admin console. For instance, access can be restricted to specific geographic locations. This feature expands the security framework for digital learning environments. Administrators can tailor policies based on user identity, location, device security, and IP address. Integrating Classroom into existing security measures simplifies access management across Workspace apps. This helps protect sensitive student data by ensuring only authorized users access Classroom. Admins can configure these policies by organizational unit or group. End users will experience access based on their organization's settings. This feature is available now for Education Standard and Plus editions.
