Google Cloud and NVIDIA expand co-engineering collaboration to scale infrastructure for the agentic era

Enterprises are transitioning to complex agentic AI workflows, demanding infrastructure that offers both raw performance and essential flexibility. This new era requires the ability to run diverse models for specific tasks and maintain data and operational sovereignty. Google Cloud, in collaboration with NVIDIA, is introducing advancements to meet these challenges. New A5X instances, powered by NVIDIA's Vera Rubin platform, provide accelerated computing and expanded global availability. Virgo Network enhances scale-out capabilities, enabling massive GPU clusters across sites. Storage solutions now include Managed Lustre with NVIDIA GPUDirect Storage for direct GPU data access. Advanced KV caching on A5X instances improves long-context memory for agentic workloads. Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) will orchestrate these A5X instances, simplifying distributed AI operations. Support for open models like Gemma and Mistral is expanding within Google Cloud's Sovereign Cloud portfolio. NVIDIA's Nemotron models and Cosmos simulations are integrated with Gemini for customization and virtual world generation. Sovereign AI capabilities are being extended to on-premises environments via Google Distributed Cloud. This includes NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs and Gemini Flash models for air-gapped deployments. Confidential Computing in the public cloud is enhanced with Confidential G4 instances and Confidential Bare Metal options. These innovations aim to protect sensitive intellectual property and user data through hardware-enforced security. The co-engineered Google Cloud AI Hypercomputer with NVIDIA's full-stack platform offers a unified foundation for scaling AI.
