Google Credential Provider for Windows now supports FIDO2 security keys and Bluetooth-connected mobile passkeys as a second authentication factor. This enhancement allows administrators to enforce two-step verification for Windows logins, significantly bolstering organizational security. Users benefit from more secure login options without requiring end-user configuration. This feature is available to all Google Workspace customers and began rolling out on July 13, 2026.
