Google has launched its latest AI model, Gemini 4 Argon, to developers and businesses globally. This move aims to strengthen its competitive position against OpenAI and Anthropic. The model is designed for sophisticated, multi-step tasks across various professional fields. Initially, API pricing begins at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. These prices are scheduled to increase after November 30. Argon is accessible to paying customers via Google's AI application building tools. Premium subscribers can access it through the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search. A specific coding tool, Antigravity, is exclusively for Ultra subscribers and has shown significant improvements in code submission and stability. Google is also broadening its Fairwind Program to more partners. This program provides cybersecurity defenders with a version of Argon, notably without its cyber guardrails.
