Google Meet now available on Android Auto
Google Meet is now integrated into Android Auto, allowing users to access the service directly from their car's display. This feature enables hands-free participation in meetings and audio calls while driving. Users can view their meeting schedule and join calls with a single tap. The integration also facilitates making and receiving direct audio calls through a history tab for quick dialing. When joining a meeting or making a call, the camera remains off, and video content is not displayed. Users will only have audio access, hearing the meeting and using their microphone. This feature is enabled by default for users with the Google Meet app on their Android phone. To use it, simply connect the phone to an Android Auto-compatible vehicle. The rollout is now complete for rapid release domains and is expected to finish by June 26, 2026, for scheduled release domains. This functionality is available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and personal Google account users.
