Google Chat is introducing a new owner role to enhance space management flexibility. Image editing in Google Slides and Vids is being upgraded with the Nano Banana model for improved quality. Gemini's collaboration capabilities have expanded to the Google Drive mobile apps for Android and iOS. Developers can now enhance Chat apps with carousel widgets, Markdown support, lists, and code blocks. Google Meet's eCDN custom rules are undergoing improvements for admins. Ransomware detection and file restoration features for Google Drive are now available in beta. Google Meet hardware can now join Microsoft Teams meetings through Pexip Connect. Users can enable 'Take notes for me' in Calendar for meetings, powered by Gemini. Google Chat's integrations menu has been redesigned for quicker access to apps and actions. Custom, AI-generated meeting backgrounds can now be created on mobile devices using Gemini. Gemini app data is now covered by Access Transparency, Management, and Approvals for enhanced admin control. Expressive stickers are now available for use in Google Chat conversations on the web. Gmail client-side encryption now allows users to send end-to-end encrypted emails to any recipient. The Gemini in Chrome AI browsing assistant is now generally available for Google Workspace users.
