Google Docs is integrating Gemini Notebook as a context source to enhance content creation. This new feature allows users to directly access their organized research from Gemini Notebook within Google Docs. It aims to bridge research and writing by grounding drafts in a curated knowledge base without switching applications. Users can conveniently reference existing Notebook content by typing "@" in the Google Docs side panel or bottom bar. Gemini will then use these sources to inform its output and provide inline citations for easy fact-checking. This capability helps maintain workflow continuity and ensures accuracy. The feature is available by default for administrators with Gemini for Workspace in Drive enabled. End users require Workspace smart features to be enabled to utilize this functionality. The rollout is now complete for both Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains. This integration is available across various Google Workspace editions, including Business, Enterprise, Education, and consumer plans, as well as specific add-ons.
