Gulf States Say They've Shot Down More Than 1,500 Iranian Missiles, Drones

Five Persian Gulf nations hosting U.S. military bases claim to have intercepted over 1,500 Iranian missiles and drones since a joint U.S.-Israeli attack. The United Arab Emirates has suffered the most attacks, reporting the destruction of numerous missiles and drones. Debris from these attacks caused casualties and extensive damage within the UAE. Bahrain's military also reported intercepting multiple missiles and drones, with attacks targeting U.S. and UK bases. Kuwait claimed to have downed a significant number of missiles and drones, with impacts reported on Kuwait International Airport. Qatar's defense ministry stated it had neutralized missiles and drones, while its airspace experienced temporary closure. Jordan intercepted missiles and downed drones targeting U.S. forces within its borders. Attacks also extended to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Syria, with some damage and no casualties at U.S. bases. The U.S. had previously relocated a significant portion of its aircraft and personnel from Al-Udeid Air Base. The reported attacks are viewed as blatant violations of international law by the affected nations.
