Google Vids has been updated with new AI voiceover features within "Help me create." This update allows users to incorporate Google Slides presentations as reference materials when creating video prompts. Gemini will analyze the Slides content and integrate it into the video draft. The video draft will include relevant images, text, and other objects from the slides. These generated drafts also provide suggested scripts, AI voiceovers, and music. This feature allows users to create engaging videos more quickly by referencing their Slides. Admins can enable or disable Vids at the organizational level, while Vids is on by default. To use the feature, users open Vids.new, select 'Plan your video story,' and enter a prompt referencing a Slides presentation using "@." The rollout begins on September 2, 2025, with a gradual release. The feature is available for various Google Workspace editions and for users with specific Gemini add-ons. This update aims to streamline video creation using existing slide presentations.
