Here are the top college majors for earning a six-figure salary with a two-year associate degree

A new report from Payscale has ranked schools and majors based on the potential future salaries for graduates. The top-earning two-year degree came from Helene Fuld College of Nursing, with an average mid-career salary of $108,400. For four-year degrees, STEM majors had the highest salary projections, with Massachusetts Institute of Technology leading the list at an average mid-career salary of $196,900. The report aims to help students research schools, majors, and potential salaries before enrolling. Enrollment rates have been falling off, and some employers have begun letting go of the college-degree requirement for employees, making the incentive to go to college less clear. However, a two-year degree can also be an important asset in many fields, with several programs leading to six-figure incomes. The full list of highest-earning degrees for 2024 can be found on Payscale’s website. Graduates face job uncertainty and often have crushing student loans, making it crucial to understand potential salary projections before enrolling in a college program.
