Farage is now positioning himself as a champion for crypto investors and builders, aiming to create a crypto-friendly framework. He highlighted his own experience of being "debanked" by Coutts bank as a reason why crypto offers personal sovereignty. Farage believes digital assets can solve issues like debanking, echoing sentiments from Donald Trump. He has previously proposed slashing crypto capital gains taxes and establishing a Bitcoin reserve if elected. His party, Reform UK, is gaining popularity in the polls, and Farage aims to be a prominent advocate for the crypto industry.
