I Built a SaaS in 3 Days That Solves a $500 Problem for Free
Marketers and agencies were losing Google Ads conversion data due to improper Consent Mode v2 implementation, a new requirement since March 2024 for EU/UK ads. This resulted in a significant loss of conversion tracking, remarketing audiences, and attribution accuracy. To address this, the author built TagIntegrity, a free online scanner that detects Consent Mode v2 issues on any website in 60 seconds. The tool checks Google Tag Manager, GA4, Google Ads, Consent Mode v2 signals, and CMP presence, generating a shareable report. The project was built in three days using Lovable, Supabase, Firecrawl, Stripe, and Google AI Studio, costing only $32. Key lessons learned included the importance of shipping early, the unexpected time commitment for security, the persistent challenge of DNS configuration, and the power of low-code tools. Despite a imperfect launch with broken features and vulnerabilities, the product is now live, drawing international traffic and featuring a multi-tier pricing model. The author aims to secure the first paying customer, expand SEO efforts, and forge agency partnerships. TagIntegrity offers free basic scanning and paid plans for unlimited scans, AI fix guides, and white-label reports for agencies.
