If you bought this popular toothpaste, you may be owed money from Colgate-Palmolive. Here’s how to claim it

Tom's of Maine toothpaste purchasers from November 21, 2020, to March 6, 2026, may be eligible for a cash payout from a $2.9 million class-action settlement. The lawsuit alleged deceptive practices by parent company Colgate-Palmolive. Concerns were raised by the FDA in May 2024 regarding manufacturing conditions at the Sanford, Maine facility. Colgate-Palmolive stated that their review found no safety risks in the tested toothpaste batches. Despite denying wrongdoing, the company agreed to the settlement. To claim a payment, individuals must submit a valid claim form online or by mail/email. Only one claim form is allowed per household. The deadline to submit a claim is July 6, 2026. The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for September 10. Consumers with questions can contact the class administrator by phone or email.
