Iran Threatens "Complete And Utter Annihilation" Of OpenAI's $30BN Stargate Data Center In Abu Dhabi

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a stark warning to the US, threatening decisive retaliation for any damage to Iran's power infrastructure. Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfaghari, an IRGC spokesperson, specifically menaced the "complete and utter annihilation" of US and Israeli facilities. The Stargate AI datacenter in Abu Dhabi was highlighted as a primary target for destruction. This threat follows reports of Iran inflicting damage on some Amazon AWS data centers through rocket strikes, causing shutdowns. A video released by the IRGC explicitly showed their capability to locate the "hidden" 1GW Stargate AI datacenter in the UAE, despite its obfuscation on Google Maps. Zolfaghari declared that all power plants, energy infrastructure, and ICT of the "Zionist regime," along with regional companies with American shareholders, would face annihilation if the US targeted Iran's facilities. The video used Google Maps to zoom into an "empty" desert area near Abu Dhabi, then revealed the Stargate datacenter using a "night vision" overlay, asserting that "Nothing stays hidden to our sight." This incident builds on previous claims by the IRGC of targeting Oracle's data centers in Dubai. However, there has been no independent confirmation of any hits or damage sustained to these facilities.
