Jev: How to use it for better, faster, and cheaper user decisions in UX
Jev, a new classifier model, is changing AI by making judgment calls fast, cheap, and accessible. This model allows applications to make decisions with high probability, unlike previous AI systems. It acts like a "gut check," providing instant responses based on input and predefined choices. Jev is significantly more cost-effective and faster than existing frontier chat models. Designers can now integrate these decision-making capabilities directly into user interfaces. This allows for real-time interactions where AI judgment happens at keystroke speed. Examples include ranking search suggestions, validating form fields, and triaging incoming requests. The key innovation is that sophisticated AI judgment is no longer expensive or slow, enabling it to live within controls. This shifts the burden of setting confidence thresholds from the model to the designer. By embedding these decision models, applications can become more intuitive and efficient.
