Farmers previously resorted to software hacking, highlighting the urgency of this access. A 2023 memorandum made some initial moves, this settlement strengthens these measures. While a judge's approval is still pending, it's expected to be granted. John Deere also faces another lawsuit from the FTC for similar practices.
