Noetra Corp. will manage the initiative, building a substantial 140-megawatt data center expected to be operational in two years. Major Japanese companies like Sony, SoftBank, NEC, Fujitsu, and Preferred Networks are supporting this consolidation of fragmented AI programs. The first industrial robot AI model is slated for release in the first quarter of 2027. Japan aims to seize 30% of the global robotics market, valued at $370 billion by 2040. Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, highlighted Japan's need for significant expansion in data centers, power, and computing capacity to compete globally. Physical AI is rapidly advancing beyond data centers into warehousing, trucking, construction, and homes. Humanoid robot shipments are projected for a substantial increase next year.
