NotebookLM now automatically syncs with Google Drive, keeping your sources current. Previously, manual updates were needed when Drive files changed. This new feature eliminates the need for manual re-syncing, ensuring up-to-date information. As Drive file content is updated, NotebookLM reflects these changes automatically. NotebookLM respects file deletions and access permissions. If access to a Drive file is revoked, the file is removed from the notebook. Deleted Drive files are also removed from NotebookLM. This update streamlines research and maintains a secure environment. There are no admin or end-user settings for this feature. The rollout starts on May 26, 2026, for all Google Workspace and personal Google account users.
