Little Mermaid Sculpture Garden in Kimballton, Iowa
Just nine miles north of I-80, on the Western Skies Scenic Byway, awaits a delightful Hans Christian Andersen fairy-tale experience.
This sculpture parks’ pièce de résistance is an exact replica of the Little Mermaid Statue in Copenhagen Harbor. The statue oversees a fountain, landscaping, and small walking path with eight sculptures celebrating Scandinavian heritage and Danish culture.
Each sculpture features a telephone number where callers can listen to a 3-minute rendition of Andersen’s most popular fairy tales.
