Looker Connected Sheets Private IP support
Looker Core instances with private IP configurations can now enable Connected Sheets for their users. This change allows teams to analyze and share Looker data more easily through spreadsheet capabilities. Previously, private IP controls restricted access to Connected Sheets, but this update resolves that issue. Admins are responsible for enabling Connected Sheets within Looker before end-users can access it. The Looker Help Center provides detailed instructions for both enabling and using this feature. For end users, once enabled by an admin, the feature is available by default. To connect to private IP instances, users need to copy their instance ID from Looker and use it within Google Sheets. The connection is made through the Data > Data Connectors > Connect to Looker option. This feature will begin a gradual rollout on October 6, 2025, taking up to 15 days for full visibility. It is accessible to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual Subscribers, and personal Google account users.
