This declaration signifies a significant shift after months of conflict and strained relations. Lutnick confirmed his trust in Anthropic and its CEO, Dario Amodei, asserting they have met the administration's requests. This turnaround occurs as Anthropic co-founder Tom Brown plays an increasingly vital role in the company's engagement with the White House. Brown was prominently introduced by Lutnick at the G20 Innovation Ministerial. He praised President Trump's pro-data center stance, highlighting the economic benefits and job creation. Brown also reiterated Anthropic's support for the administration's ratepayer pledge. Previously, personality clashes and national security concerns led to export controls on Anthropic's advanced AI models. Brown actively worked to mend the relationship through discussions with key administration officials. Meanwhile, a federal judge overturned the Pentagon's blacklisting of Anthropic, deeming it a violation of constitutional rights. Anthropic is also contesting a separate Pentagon designation in court.
