A Florida billionaire, Dr. Herbert Wertheim, purchased Ferrari's unique Luce EV for $40 million. Wertheim, an optometrist and founder of Brain Power, bought the car at an RM Sotheby's auction. Despite critical reception of its appearance, the one-of-a-kind "Chassis 0" is valued at $1.1 million. The car is being shipped to Italy for undisclosed modifications before Wertheim takes possession next year. Similar to a $26 million Ferrari Daytona SP3 he bought previously, Wertheim plans to use the Luce, which he calls "Lucy," for fundraising. He stated it will not be his personal vehicle for everyday errands. The 87-year-old billionaire is a supporter of Donald Trump and frequently visits Mar-a-Lago. At a charity gala there, he also spent $2 million for a private White House visit with Trump. This purchase at the gala benefited scholarships for children of law enforcement and firefighters. Dr. Wertheim has an estimated net worth of $4.6 billion.
