In 1971, astronaut Stu Roosa brought tree seeds to the moon during the Apollo 14 mission. These seeds orbited the moon and returned to Earth, becoming known as "Moon Trees." NASA planted these seeds across the United States, but their significance was largely forgotten for a time. A young student's discovery sparked a search to find all the Moon Trees. Science writer Natalie Middleton has documented this unique story and created a map to help locate these trees.
