Move from conversation to creation with file generation in Gemini
Gemini now allows users to create formatted files directly from conversational prompts within the app. Users can generate various file types like Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, PDFs, and more. This feature streamlines the process from ideation to finalized documents, eliminating the need to switch between applications. Users can specify the desired file type and Gemini will generate it. Gemini supports formats including Google Workspace files, Microsoft Word and Excel files, CSV, LaTeX, plain text, RTF, and Markdown. The feature aims to simplify document creation by reducing the need for manual copying, pasting, and formatting. The feature allows users with Gemini access to create a single file with one prompt. This feature is available to all Google Workspace customers and users with personal Google accounts. There are no admin controls for this feature. Users simply need to describe their desired file to begin the generation process.
