Musk's X Office In Paris Raided By Cybercrime Unit As Brussels Becomes More Unhinged

The European Commission initiated a new investigation into Elon Musk's X, expanding a previous probe under the Digital Services Act. X's Paris office was raided in connection to the distribution of sexual deepfakes and Holocaust denial content. The Paris prosecutor's office announced they would leave X and instead post on LinkedIn and Instagram. Elon Musk and Linda Yaccarino were summoned for voluntary questioning. The date set for questioning was April 20th, a day often associated with Musk. The prosecutor's actions are perceived by some as political theater and censorship. X previously described the probe as politically motivated, with an investigation into the "Grok" AI chatbot. Musk and some in the US government have criticized the EU's internet policies. They view the European actions as regulatory overreach targeting American free speech. The situation is expected to lead to further conflict and commentary.
