New Boeing CEO May Clean House With Sale Of Space Unit

Boeing's new CEO, Kelly Ortberg, is considering selling its NASA business, including the unit that manages the Starliner spacecraft, as part of a strategy to streamline the company and reduce financial losses. The effort is still in its early stages and may not result in a deal. Boeing's Starliner spacecraft malfunctioned in space this summer and returned to Earth without a crew in early September. SpaceX, on the other hand, has successfully launched 525 spacecraft into orbit in the first quarter, significantly outpacing China and Russia.
