New Google Meet 'Take notes fo... Note

New Google Meet 'Take notes for me' settings for admins and end users take effect September 29th

New admin and end user settings for Google Meet’s ‘Take notes for me’ feature will go live on September 29th. Admins will gain a third option to enable automatic note-taking specifically for meetings with three or more people. This new third option will be turned ON by default for Business Standard and Business Plus customers. It will be OFF by default for Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Frontline Plus, and Google AI Pro for Education users. Organizations currently in the Gemini Alpha program should check their settings as they might already be enabled. End users will also have a new setting to enable note-taking only for meetings with three or more guests. Users should review their preferences after September 29th as these changes take effect. Both admin and end user settings will have an extended rollout period starting on September 29th. The feature is available across various Google Workspace business and education plans. More information can be found in the Google Meet Help Center and the Google Workspace Updates Blog.
