Google is expanding NotebookLM support to all Google Workspace for Education users. NotebookLM functions as an AI-powered thinking partner for learning and knowledge sharing. It leverages AI grounded in user-uploaded documents, providing summaries, lesson plans, and quizzes. Educators and students can utilize it with their course materials for enhanced understanding. NotebookLM is covered by Google Workspace for Education Terms of Service, ensuring enterprise-grade data protections. This means user data is not reviewed or used for AI model training. The tool is available in over 180 regions and supports more than 35 languages. Users can only upload Workspace sources they have permission to access and control sharing within their organization. NotebookLM also adheres to regulations like FERPA and COPPA. For administrators, NotebookLM is enabled by default as a core Workspace service.
