Now in beta: Import and convert your PowerPoint files to client-side encrypted Slides

Eligible customers can now import PowerPoint files as client-side encrypted Slides, enhancing interoperability with Microsoft Office. This means PowerPoint files are encrypted before being brought into Google Workspace and converted into high-fidelity encrypted Slides. The new capability is part of the CSE Office Interop beta program, which grants early access to various Microsoft Office editing and import/export functionalities. Google Workspace administrators for eligible organizations can apply for this beta program. For domains already participating in the beta, this feature is automatically enabled. End users in registered domains will have this feature turned on. Both Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains will receive the feature immediately upon acceptance into the beta program. This functionality is available for Enterprise Plus, Education Standard and Plus, and certain other editions like Frontline Plus. Administrators interested in using this feature need to sign up for the CSE Office Interop beta. Further details on how to begin utilizing the feature will be provided upon acceptance into the beta.
