Tech giant Oracle is reportedly implementing another round of layoffs this month. While the company has not officially confirmed the cuts, state data indicates 101 employees are being let go from its Seattle-area workforce by November 3. Employees have shared news of their jobs being eliminated on LinkedIn, with some having worked at Oracle for up to 20 years. Layoffs have also been reported in Kansas, Massachusetts, and Texas. Anonymous reports suggest a significant drop in company Slack channel members, though official numbers are unconfirmed. Oracle also conducted layoffs in mid-August, affecting hundreds of employees in the Bay Area and Seattle. Despite these workforce reductions, Oracle is experiencing a financially successful year, with its shares reaching record highs. The company's chairman, Larry Ellison, highlighted astronomically high demand for Oracle's products, particularly in cloud and AI infrastructure. He explained that the company is methodically building data centers and computers to meet this demand.
