Organize My Files in Drive now... Note

Organize My Files in Drive now generally available

Google Drive is now offering a generally available feature called Organize My Files, powered by Gemini. This new tool aims to reduce digital clutter by automatically suggesting where to move loose files within your Google Drive. Users can access these suggestions through a "Suggest File Moves" entry point in My Drive. The interface presents recommendations for moving files to existing folders or creating new ones. Before any changes are made, users can review each suggestion. They can hover over items for more details, select or deselect specific files, and even rename proposed new folders or change their destination. Once a user approves the suggestions, Gemini will perform a batch move and prompt for confirmation of any permission changes. This feature is designed to streamline file organization, minimizing manual effort. Currently, Organize My Files is available globally in English. Workspace customers will have promotional access to higher usage limits until July 15, 2026. The feature is available on various Google Workspace and Google AI plans.
