Prevent accidental disclosures with new Reply All BCC warnings in Gmail
Gmail is introducing a new caution notification to enhance user privacy. This feature will alert users when they attempt to "Reply All" to an email where they were originally BCC'ed. Previously, replying all from a BCC'ed position could inadvertently reveal a participant's presence. The new prompt requires users to confirm their intent before sending the message to everyone. This aims to prevent accidental disclosure of confidential information. The feature is available by default for both administrators and end-users. It will automatically trigger for any BCC'ed recipient who tries to "Reply All" on a thread. This update is already available for all Google Workspace customers and personal Google accounts. The rollout has been completed for both Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains. This new caution notification helps ensure intentional communication and protects privacy.
