The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) will release the initial data for its new single volume cap mechanism on October 9th. This mechanism restricts trading volume under a specific waiver to 7% of total EU trading for each financial instrument. If this threshold is breached, trading venues must halt the waiver's use for three months. This replaces the former double volume cap system.
