PyCharm: Unbundling and Deprecating Low-Usage Plugins in PyCharm

PyCharm will begin unbundling and deprecating low-usage plugins starting with version 2026.2. This change is part of ongoing maintenance to keep PyCharm fast and responsive. Plugins like Data Wrangler, Hugging Face, and Google Colab are among those being affected. The goal is to focus development effort on features with broader impact for Python developers. Unbundling does not mean removing the plugins entirely. Their code will be moved to an Obsolete Plugins repository. Users can still install compatible versions from the JetBrains Marketplace for PyCharm 2026.2. However, the PyCharm team will cease active maintenance and feature development for these plugins. Starting with version 2026.3, compatible versions will no longer be published by the PyCharm team. The community can continue to build and install these plugins manually from the repository. The PyCharm team thanks users for their past contributions to these plugins.
